Your Assessment Centre Experience
SRS are recreating an employer’s digital assessment centre and giving you the opportunity to practise this. As part of a half-day event, you will complete the three exercises listed below where you will receive detailed and personalised written feedback from experienced graduate recruiters.
Interview
You will take part in a 1:1 interview via video conference, which will last 10 minutes. This will give you an insight into the types of questions that an employer will ask. Please select a job description below and be prepared to share with your assessor which one you have chosen at the start of your interview.
The assessor will base your interview on your chosen job description.
Job Descriptions
Presentation
You will present a 5-minute presentation via video conference to the assessor and a small group of your peers. On the day of the assessment centre, you will have a choice of topics and will be given 30 minutes to prepare this. The assessor will also ask you questions based on the content of your presentation. It's a good idea to use visual aids such as PowerPoint slides to support your presentation, and you will be invited to share your screen when it is your turn to present.
Group Exercise
The group exercise is a collaborative task where you will work together as a group on a time-sensitive task. You will be presented with a scenario that requires you to make decisions and contribute your suggestions. As a group, you will review, discuss, and agree on what actions to take. You will then share these actions with the assessor, along with a brief explanation of your rationale.
All materials for your group exercise will be provided to you on the day of the digital assessment centre. No pre-work is required for your group exercise.
