University of Hertfordshire embeds employability activity into the curriculum for over 1000 students

We are thrilled to be rolling out our assessment simulation programme to over 1000 second year students at the University of Hertfordshire in Autumn 2017. This follows the successful pilot with Business School students in October 2016. The programme will return to Watford’s Vicarage Road stadium where all the private boxes will be utilised for group and individual activities.

Judith Baines, Head of Careers, University of Hertfordshire commented:

We are delighted to be building on the success of the work with Smart Resourcing Solutions last year by significantly growing the number of students who will have the opportunity to take part in an assessment centre simulation in the next academic year.

Smart Resourcing Solutions worked closely with us to provide tailored resources for our students and ensured that we had four highly organised assessment centres on offer to Business School students last year. To build on this success, we are more than doubling the offer available to students in the next academic year, meaning over 1000 students will have the chance to experience an assessment centre environment and gain constructive feedback on their performance.

All level 5 students in the schools of Business and Humanities will have an assessment centre activity built into their courses. Student feedback from the activity last year was fantastic and we are looking forward to working with Smart Resourcing Solutions again this year.

Sophie Milliken, Operations Director added: “The team at Hertfordshire have been a dream to work with and we are excited to start the design process for the new courses. The Watford FC Stadium is ideal for this activity as it gives a sense of occasion to the event and brings further realness to the activities.”
