We have been running our assessment centre simulation programmes for almost five years now and are proud to be the leading supplier of large-scale assessment simulations in the UK - evidenced by the number and scale of events we run, the number of universities we work with and the relevant awards we have been recognised for.
After each event, we review what went well (lots - we are experts at this now!) and also, what we can do to make things even better for both the university and students next time.
This video shows a tiny example of one improvement. In year one with the University of Hertfordshire, we delivered in person briefings to the students during their lectures. Last year (year two) we made this an online briefing to ensure a consistent message and that all students had the opportunity to view it. This year, we are making it more engaging by filming it at the venue - Vicarage Road, home of Watford FC. Not only is this more interesting for the students, it helps us to address some of the concerns they have, showing them exactly where they need to go and bringing to life how the day will run. This is also one way of us supporting students with anxiety to feel more prepared and confident ahead of attending their assessment simulation day.
