The Careers and Employability Service at the University of Westminster is giving graduates from 2019 up to 2022 this fantastic opportunity in which to practise an employer’s assessment centre. This event information page is where we give you the lowdown on everything you need to know about the assessment centre and how to be best prepared.
The Careers and Employability Service at the University of Westminster support graduates for up to three years after you finish your course. What to expect at the assessment centre
As part of this event, you will complete the exercises listed below. The videos have some handy tips on how to ace your exercises from our amazing assessors, who are also experienced graduate recruiters! You will receive detailed and personalised written feedback from them after completing your assessment centre.
Presentation
You will present a 3-minute presentation to the assessor and a group of your peers. The topics will be provided to you at the start of the exercise, and you will be given time to prepare and deliver your presentation during the exercise time slot. The assessor will then ask you questions.
All materials for your presentation exercise will be provided on the day. No pre-work is required for this exercise.

The group exercise is a collaborative task where you will work together as a group on a time-sensitive task. You will be presented with a scenario that requires you to make decisions and contribute your suggestions as a group.
