About us

Our work with universities is exciting and we are the leading, award-winning, provider of assessment centre simulations in the UK. We work with universities to embed employability into the curriculum, ensuring students have every advantage to help secure graduate jobs and placements. Our assessment centres and practical employability workshops give students the opportunity to practice typical graduate recruitment processes and exercises in a safe and positive environment before the real thing.

We also specialise in graduate recruitment and employability consultancy, working with employers to design their graduate schemes and assessment processes.

About the role

SRS are a fast-growing business and have an eye on even faster growth over the next 2-3 years. We became part of the GradTouch family in 2019 and this presents even more opportunities for business growth. We are now looking to appoint a new team member to be based with the SRS team in Newcastle in a diverse and flexible role. The role will initially support the university side of our business, but there needs to be a degree of flexibility to take on employer work also.

The role will provide administration, event planning and management support for the team. You will work closely with our GradTouch colleagues on updating our marketing materials and create new content for our social media channels. With our university events, you will play a key role in helping us to prepare and facilitate our event days to ensure they run smoothly.

This is a varied and fun role working with our amazing SRS team, associates and clients. No week is the same, where one day you could be in our Newcastle city centre office and the next you could be travelling to Manchester to deliver an assessment centre at the outstanding Etihad stadium!

About you

Because of the nature of the role and our growing business, we’re looking for someone with the flexibility and drive to assist us in multiple areas. You’ll be eager to get stuck in and take pride in playing your part in organising some of the UK’s largest and most successful student assessment days.

We’re looking for someone who will bring enthusiasm, commitment and a strong work ethic to our team. In addition to that, we would like to see the following:

Hosted by acclaimed broadcaster, entrepreneur and author Arti Halai, the awards took place at The Royal Armouries, in Leeds on Friday 29thNovember, where outstanding, female business leaders from across the UK competed in nine categories.

Alex Depledge, CEO of Resi, was crowned with the top award of FL Business Woman of the Year 2019, after leaving the judges “stunned”with her “drive, passion and innovation”.

Brenda Marjorie Hale, Lady Hale of Richmond took up appointment as President of The Supreme Court in September 2017, succeeding Lord Neuberger of Abbotsbury. This following her appointment as Deputy President from June 2013. In October 2009 she became the first woman Justice of The Supreme Court.

Winners of the 2019 North East Businesswomen of the Year awards announced

Women from across the North East have been celebrated, as the winners of the 2019 North East Businesswomen of the Year (WIN) Awards 2019 were announced at a glittering dinner at the Grand Hotel, Gosforth Park in Newcastle.

Sophie Milliken, who runs Smart Resourcing Solutions, scooped the prestigious Susan Dobson Award for Entrepreneurship along with the prize for the Best Small Business. Smart Resourcing Solutions provide employability assessment services in the UK.

Commenting on the win she said “I am beyond delighted to have won both the Small Business category and the Susan Dobson Award for Entrepreneurship and see this recognition topping off what has been, without doubt, my most successful year in business to date. 

“I take pride in showcasing what is possible with focus, determination, a fantastic team and a supportive network. Our region is full of amazing women in business and I look forward to using my own business success to support and encourage other women who are starting out on their journeys.”

Qubic Tax graduate scheme launches with support from SRS

Tax specialist firm, Qubic, has launched its newly created Graduate Scheme for dynamic, driven individuals hoping to carve out an exciting career in tax. Successful candidates will work as part of national teams in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities to be involved in high level, specialist projects throughout the course of the programme.
