cv review service

Our Smart CV review service is a great way to gain an advantage against the competition. Most graduate recruiters will progress approximately 50% of candidates from initial application to the test stage of their process. Don’t become one of the statistics who didn’t receive an invitation to take the online tests!

The service includes a consultation before a draft CV is presented for approval. Focus is applied to the wording of your achievements to maximise the impact with your potential employer. You are then presented with a PDF version of your CV which provides a stronger opportunity to progress beyond the initial stages of an employer’s process.

Other services we provide for students and graduates include:

  • Set up or refresh of LinkedIn profile
  • Consideration of your personal brand and how this is used to find an employer of choice
  • Coaching related to any element of the assessment and selection process
  • Creation of a career action plan, matching organisations to your preference
  • Post offer etiquette coaching and support

graduate coaching Case study

Sarah Hughes graduated from Newcastle University with a BA and MA in Modern Languages; unfortunately, despite her excellent academic results, she was struggling to find the right role.  She booked three face to face sessions with Smart Resourcing Solutions, covering the following:

  • Redesign of CV, creation of a LinkedIn profile and career goal setting
  • Focus on finding roles about which she felt passionate, discarding some roles and concentrating on what was right for her
  • Interview preparation and practice

Sarah was also supported with telephone and email contact. The end result was that Sarah secured the job of her dreams as a Portuguese and Spanish translator.

Sarah said "I really believe that the support I was given was directly related to me eventually finding a job, and not just any job, but one which was exactly what I wanted."
